Lost Job, Disability, Too Young for Medicare

Obtaining health insurance with a medical disability and without a job is a concern for a number of Health Insurance Navigator blog readers. Below is one reader’s question on the topic:

What do you do when you are a 60-year old disabled widow with MS who will not qualify for Medicare for another 18 months? I just lost the researcher job I was able to do at home that paid for my insurance… all my wages went to that. There is no COBRA. Thank you.
